my grmother born on reservation her father full blood creek my grfather ppl irish so it i guess makes me mixed . never thought about it . i was raised learning what was eatable from woods & meds . luckily i spent most of my teen yrs in the woods . i was blessed to enjoy the animals learn apprciate nature of course it caused problems interacting with ppl . be cause the indian side showed school was heck looking diffrent does that . unlike my uncles i was not embarrased which i understood as got older . in the early 1900s the discrimnation so they denied thier heritage . why i can say i'm no wanna be . i was learning trying to learn the old ways when clinging to indian ways was frowned up on in white society . i made my own bow arrows from cherry tree limbs .while my moccasions didnt turn as well as i hoped i could least say i made my own . mixed yes i guess but i never was in my heart .
